The ESA BIC Noordwijk, managed by SBIC Noordwijk, is ESA’s business incubation programme that enables founders and entrepreneurs to develop their space business related ideas and supports them during their adventurous journey.
We offer regular info sessions in the lead up to the ESA BIC selection deadlines. These can take the form of online webinars and in-person meet-and-great sessions, as outlined on our ESA BIC Open House page. Maybe you already joined previous webinars and still have questions. Maybe you have considered applying to ESA BIC previously but are looking for that extra push to make 2026 the year that you submit your application. Maybe you are considering joining the pre-incubation Ignition Programme but need advice. We are here to help you prepare for ESA BIC and we are eager to hear the questions that you want answering.

Tip #1: You can join this webinar if you have questions about the Ignition Programme, which closes for applications on 6 August.
Tip #2: It is good to assess the space connection of your business idea as soon as possible, particularly if it is related to upstream technologies.
We’ll provide you with initial information to get ready for applying by the fall ESA BIC selection deadline of 5 Oct 2026. Both programmes (ESA BIC + Ignition) will be introduced and presented by the ESA BIC Noordwijk programme manager Jacobo Domingo. There will be two additional webinars in September to provide support. Preparing a thorough application is a detailed process and we recommend to download the documents and take a look through to see what info is required and let us know if anything needs clarifying.

As this webinar is planned to cover both the ESA BIC and Ignition Programme, we have scheduled 60 minutes for the session, which will be the online presentation followed by the Q&A with the participants.
BACKGROUND
The Space Business Innovation Centre Noordwijk (SBIC Noordwijk) supports space related startups and initiatives in various stages of their development. Next to ESA’s business incubation programme, we also manage pre-incubation and Dutch relocation programmes. Over the years, jointly with NL Space Campus, the SBIC team has also managed the ESA Phi-Lab Netherlands and ESA Technology Broker Netherlands. Jacobo Domingo is the ESA BIC Noordwijk manager and business development manager at SBIC Noordwijk. He has international experience in startups, entrepreneurship and business support.
