Ahead of the 11th CASSINI Hackathon โSpace for Waterโ, we are organising a series of local pre-event webinars introducing the three hackathon challenges.
The first session focuses on Disaster Risk Monitoring. Floods and extreme weather events are becoming more frequent, and satellite data plays an increasing role in monitoring environmental risks and supporting early warning systems.
During the webinar, experts will present real-world challenges related to disaster monitoring and explain how space data from programmes such as Copernicus and Galileo can support risk assessment, preparedness, and response.
Participants will also have the opportunity to ask questions, exchange ideas with other participants, and briefly pitch early hackathon ideas in 1-minute pitches.
