The second webinar in the CASSINI Hackathon “Space for Water” pre-event series focuses on the challenge of tracking and preventing water pollution.
Water pollution remains a major environmental issue affecting rivers, coastal zones, and ecosystems. Satellite observations and environmental data increasingly support monitoring efforts by helping identify pollution patterns, track changes over time, and support decision-making.
During this session, experts will introduce key challenges related to pollution monitoring and discuss how space-based data and analytics can contribute to protecting water resources.
Participants will also have the opportunity to ask questions, exchange perspectives, and pitch early hackathon ideas in short 1-minute pitches.
