The Intersection of Space Research and Entrepreneurship at LDE Space Day and Discover Your Space

The recentย LDE Space Dayย and Discover Your Space events, hosted at the TU Delft Auditorium, highlighted the collaborative efforts in space research and entrepreneurship. These events brought together researchers, space entrepreneurs, young professionals, and students, showcasing a rich exchange of ideas and career opportunities in the space sector. The NL Space Campus, in partnership with Leiden-Delft-Erasmus Universities, organised a range of activities to contribute to these gatherings.

A HUB OF INNOVATION AND LEARNING

The Leiden-Delft-Erasmus Space Day, in its second edition, focused on Space for Science and Society. It featured a series of engaging workshops and plenary sessions led by experts and researchers. The workshops from Curiousity Series covered diverse topics such as “Designing a Lunar Habitat,” “Space Law and Ethics,” and “Space Entrepreneurship.” These sessions were not only informative but also served as platforms for developing practical space technology applications, particularly evident in the Phi-lab workshop’s future project ideas.

INSPIRING THE NEXT GENERATION

“Discover Your Space” was an exciting event for over 200 students and young professionals, offering insights into careers in the space industry. The event included presentations from various space organizations, with NL Space Campus delivering engaging talks. The presentations, especially on the One Space Hub project and the LDE NL Space Campus Summer School, generated interest and questions from attendees, underscoring the event’s impact.
