NL Space Week 2025: Co-Creation with the Space Industry

After two successful NL Space Week Partner Meetings for the 2025 Edition, partners, collaborators and event ideas are growing. Inviting all industry professionals and space enthusiasts, to focus on opening doors nationally to the space industry.

NL Space Week Partner Meetings

On 2 June 2025, NL Space Campus welcomed partners for the second NL Space Week Partner Meeting of this year. The session focused on shaping this year’s programme, building on momentum from the Kick-Off in April. Participants joined both online and on-site. The hybrid format allowed a broad group to listen to the introduction and the background story of NL Space Week. The interactive sessions are only in person to optimise brainstorming and networking. Partner meetings exist for interested organisations to explore opportunities to support or get involved, whether by organising their own activity, contributing to an existing one, or simply sharing on socials and knowing what’s going on. Meetings always include practical updates, tools to support event development, and shared resources. Participants received access to branding materials, communication tips, and a platform to connect with others working on similar concepts.

Two themes came up throughout the discussions on 2 June:

  • Involving and attracting young professionals. Many partners are interested in activities that engage students and early-career professionals. Multiple collaborations between partners are now focusing on bringing YPs together and are widely supported by students and student teams.
  • National (Media) Exposure: Reaching across the country. There is a shared ambition to make NL Space Week more visible and accessible beyond the main space hubs and traditional locations, to a broader and national public. There will be partners working together to demystify space on a larger scale in the Netherlands, such as going to schools, being on tv and reaching out to national media.

“Space is for everyone” — and NL Space Week reflects that.

Whether you’re already involved or still considering how to contribute, there are always opportunities to join. The programme is in development, and your involvement is very much needed to grow the sector’s presence in media and politics. It’s exciting to see NL Space Week entering a new phase, with broader interest, stronger connections, and an expanding reach. That way we can work together to land the space sector in the Netherlands in a broader sense and open up doors to more possibilities to receive budget, knowledge and in the long run, less shortage of (technical) employees.
