Dutch Space Sector Issues Open Letter on Proposed ESA Contribution

The Dutch space sector has released an open letter to the Cabinet and the States General about the proposed Dutch contribution to the upcoming ESA Ministerial Council.

In the letter, the sector notes that the current proposal for a lower national contribution could affect ongoing programmes, limit opportunities for Dutch companies and weaken the long term Dutch position within ESA. The sector asks the government to review the proposal in light of the Long Term Space Agenda and the recent advice from the Netherlands Space Office for 2026 to 2028.
