Pioneering Initiatives and Innovations at NL Space Campus Network & Drinks

The Space Week had not even started when we celebrated a large milestone for NL Space Campus: the opening of our new campus meeting spot. We are grateful you were there with us. Many of you then joined our first after-summer Network & Drinks, where multiple parties in our community came together for networking. This is exactly what Network & Drinks is for; to connect with other initiatives and bring people together. 

The new ‘Plein’

The NL Space Campus feels very honored that our campus meeting grounds may carry the name “Martin Schröderplein”, in honor of aviation pioneer and Noordwijk resident Martin Schröder, founder of the airline Martinair, that is now part of KLM Group. With this name, the campus grounds symbolize the spirit of entrepreneurship and innovation that the NL Space Campus embodies. The Martin Schröderplein is the first tangible step towards realizing a vibrant hub for the space sector at the campus. You can read more about this event here:

Network & Drinks September

During Network & Drinks, 3 pitches were held. Sigasi, the new ESA BIC partner, creates products that help design teams and individual engineers deliver formally validated designs faster and more efficiently. Turtle Island Space, ESA BIC incubatee, aims to offer educators and students access to practical and affordable experiences relevant to the Space industry, such as using satellite imagery. And lastly, Inframent, ESA BIC incubatee, makes fibre optic cable construction surveying easy, with only using your smartphone GNSS.

• 12 October Network & Drinks XL in Space Expo - the largest networking event of the year! Not registered yet? At the time of writing few tickets were left. If you’re quick, you might still be able to join us by following this link. 
• 26 October Network & Drinks Dutch Design Week special with Microlab Eindhoven and Brabant Space Network in Microlab Eindhoven - a perfect cross-over between Brabant & Zuid-Holland, and Design, Hightech & Space. 
• 30 November our regular Network & Drinks in SBIC Noordwijk starting at 5 PM.
