EVENT DETAILS
We have found that the series Tech Needs Discovery has brought focused target groups together and brought multiple leads who are now working together towards actual sales funnels, and is a successful way to work with the ESA Technology Broker NL. This edition we will implement our earlier findings for an even better networking experience.
This time, instead of on-stage tech need pitches followed by matchmaking, we will host interactive breakout sessions. Participants from different industries (Space, Agri-Food, High-Tech, and Energy), will work together to co-develop solutions to real-world challenges submitted by you and your fellow attendees. You will collaborate with professionals from diverse backgrounds and expertise levels, and share your team’s proposed solutions in a closing plenary. Attendees will submit what they believe is the most pressing challenges they are facing right now; they will see the space sector not taking centre stage and, instead, coming together with the three other industries to jointly design solutions.

Industry Challenges
- High tech –Â How can the high-tech industry connect to the fast-changing needs of the world, making use of ideas and innovations from other industries?
- Agri-Food – Food production increasingly needs to integrate circularity — minimising waste, reusing by-products, and optimising energy and water use — but current technologies are often fragmented and lack integration across disciplines (e.g. aquaculture, hydroponics, biotechnology, and renewable energy).
- Space – The space industry faces challenges like the lack of effective international regulations and potential orbital collisions due to multi-orbit operations.
- Energy – Energy transition, dealing with congestion and decarbonisation
- Logistics – How to integrate Space tech in logistics to gain competitive advantages? Â (navigation, timing, position, earth observation, energy cost optimisation, blockchain, track&trace)

Organised by the ESA Technology Broker (powered by NL Space Campus and SBIC Noordwijk) in collaboration with Holland High Tech and Hi Delta, the event continues to connect space technologies with real-world industry needs. This edition will focus on industry challenges connecting to (non) space solutions.
The first edition in March exceeded expectations: over 30 new introductions, more than 10 active follow-ups, and valuable conversations between unexpected matches. One speaker noted it “didn’t feel like a first-time event,” reinforcing the strength of the curated cross-sector format. The second edition takes place on 5 June and the third on 25 September, preceding the Network & Drinks September edition.
