From 4 to 10 October 2026, organisations and communities in the Netherlands can take part in World Space Week, the annual international celebration of space science and technology.
The theme for World Space Week 2026 is “Rocket Revolution”, focusing on developments that are changing how rockets are designed, built and launched, and widening access to launch capabilities around the world.
World Space Week has been held annually from 4 to 10 October since its declaration by the United Nations in 1999. Activities worldwide are organised by space agencies, companies, schools, universities, planetariums, museums, astronomy clubs and other organisations.
