SPACETECH EUROPE Online Hackaton is looking for mentors

24 november 2021

Are your interests aligned with a challenge theme, you like to mentor young professionals and have some hours to spare during the hackaton weekend of 3-5 December? Just like us, you can also become involved as a mentor for this online hackaton!

PLNT Leiden is facilitating part of this online hackaton. Everywhere in Europe teams get together to work on current themes in spacetech. As a mentor, you can coach between 30 minutes and up to all the hours you like to spend on mentoring. Team members from NL Space Campus and SBIC Noordwijk are also mentoring and supporting this event. Not sure if your skills fit this event, but you are interested to join? Send an e-mail to Micha@plnt.nl and find out where your skills are needed!

You can read the Mentoring booklet for more information specifically for mentors here.

About the hackaton:

Step on board as we set on the journey to develop the future of space!

As we seek to explore the opportunities beyond our planet, the acceleration of space technologies is limited by the challenges posed on Earth. How to reduce the cost of spaceflight by reusing? How to proof spacetech against malware and cyberattacks? How to clean up space debris? How to optimize space navigation? How to use satellite data on earth for sustainability? How to enhance collaboration in the space sector and many more? We are on a mission to face these challenges!

In cooperation with Garage48 and SpaceOn, the U.S. Embassy in Ukraine is launching the SPACETECH EUROPE Online Hackathon to:

☄️ crowdsource innovative technological solutions in spacetech;

☄️ develop the next generation of American and European space experts;

☄️ develop U.S.-Europe cooperation in the space sector.
