Space at the Big Improvement Day Innovation Diner 2021
On Thursday October 21st, the fourth edition of the Big Improvement Day Innovation Dinner took place. The theme of this evening was the presentation of the Dutch Innovation Award. NL Space Campus, together with guests from Viasat and S&T, brought the topic innovation in space to the table. This dinner is a unique combination of a diverse set of industries, where space is still minimally represented. Our wish is to see someone from our space community on the stage next year, because especially in the space industry is where innovation takes place!
During this innovative dinner, a selected number of top innovators and the most innovative companies in the Netherlands come together. Companies that qualify are carefully selected from the Dutch Innovation Monitor 2021, a study chaired by Professor Henk W. Volberda. The other members of the jury are Thomas Grosfeld (Team manager VNO-NCW), Kevin Heij (Senior Strategy and Innovation advisor UvA), Mariëtte Hamer (Chairman SER), Ralph van Hessen (Initiator Big Improvement Day), Geert Huizinga (Director of advocacy FME), Eric van Stade (Director AVRO TROS), Pieter Waasdorp (Director Entrepreneurship EZK), Albert Jan Thomassen (Director FBNET Family Businesses), Hans Boumans (Technology Transfer Manager TNO), Carla Moonen (Chairman NL Engineers), Sjaak van der Tak (Chairman LTO Nederland), and Focco Vijselaar (Director-General for Industry and Innovation Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate). The award ceremony was recorded by AVROTROS and broadcasted on Monday October 25th in the programme De Wereld van Morgen (The World of Tomorrow).
