Recent developments Space Campus Noordwijk
As Space Campus Noordwijk we have continued to work energetically over the past period. In addition to entering into new partnerships and tightening up governance, we have, together with representatives of (the founding fathers of the foundation) Province South Holland, municipality of Noordwijk, NSO, ESTEC and Innovation Quarter, formulated a concept mission/vision and concept area vision as a new starting point.
This concept vision is based on many conversations and discussions held in the recent months by Esther Peters, director Space Campus Noordwijk, with various stakeholders from the space sector (including the Universities of Delft and Leiden, Ministries, TNO, NLR, SRON, SpaceNed, companies and organisations on Space Campus and in the broader Space cluster). In the coming period we would like to refine and elaborate this together with our active stakeholders and market parties, in order to establish a broadly supported view.
In this coming weeks together with our stakeholders and market parties we will sharpen this vision and formulate strategic goals and actions, also as input for our multi-year plan. And we are further elaborating the area development vision. This includes also a business case for the modular start of the campus. This is to ensure that a relatively quick and accessible start can be made and that there is sufficient flexibility and agility to respond to new initiatives.
In order to come to a shared vision it is the wish and intention to formulate a strategy and an area vision based on concrete questions and wishes from players in the space sector. A vision that not only provides direction, but ultimately also creates an actual joint focus and action in the area and in the sector. Because only together we can make it a success and of value to the sector.
